I posted a photo in notes you may or may not want to use for Tabs. It's literally a Samsung product called TAB S6. I can't figure out how to get it to you though.

Just lookin' out for you!

To think, that it all began with band leader Fred Waring.

...Didn't it?

THIS SATURDAY in PDX will be happening the PDX WonkMeet, once described by Our Dear Editrix as the best WonkMeet ever, but don't expect that much this year, it's fucking hot out.

ANYWHOS, we're gathering at Peninsular Park in North Portland (Albina and Rosa Parks) so get your cute little hinny down there and look for the WonkMeet flag. Activities start around 11am and go until we're tired of it and want to get somewhere air conditioned, so like about 3-4pm. If you can't find us, then ring me at 360-474-7474 or on 2 meters at 146.56Mhz and I'll talk you in. But really, we'll have a big teardrop flag and likely a police presence, you'll find us.

We'll try to have some food and drinks but to be honest Dr Jenn isn't showing up this year and we're not nearly as organized as she is. But we'll try.

Sunday there will be a brunch hosted by Oblivias (I can hear her scream now, no, she's not picking up the check, who do you think she is, Fukui?) at the Kimpton RiverPlace Hotel downtown where she's staying because she's too good for the Comfort Suites near the airport.

Long distance travelers include Oblivas from the Nard, Pisto from FL, Cindy from DC, Furry from Chicago, Sister Artemis from the Oregon coast, just to name a few. So if you're local to PDX, get your butt down and show these people some fucking respect.

After party will be at the Nite Hawk, Rosa Parks and Interstate Ave. They pour good there.

Any questions, call/txt me at the above number.

John Cougar Melloncamp did the small town thing better. No violence or victimhood involved.

Point of order: the cartoon was based off the books. Because I'm older than your 30 year old kid. Sigh.

To all you Barbenheimers out there, please be aware in the non-comments that there is no longer a "spoiler alert" text feature. I will probably not be seeing either of those movies for a while, so please don't ruin them for me.

EXCEPT you can mention if Barbie leaves itself open to a sequel. Because maybe they will bring her mod cousin Francie and her little sister Skipper into the next one.

We can haz Malibu PJ, too?

Spoiler: Ken dies at end.

And she runs off with GI Joe. I guess I should have seen that coming.

The small town article was great. I had to laugh because my small town also adopted a Christmas-themed effort to attract tourists. I never made the connection to the Hallmark channel, just Frank Capra.

Above it says "Director Christopher Nolan has a brother rotting in a Costa Rican prison for being a hitman.", but when you read the article, it actually says "Matthew Nolan was never extradited to Costa Rica. In 2014, he sued the United States, accusing the Bureau of Prisons of "physical, psychological and psychiatric injury" during his time in the Metropolitan Correctional Center."

It was only the accomplice Luis Alonso Douglas Mejia that was convicted.

Don't want to leave you exposed to any defamation suit.....

I loved the Garrett Bucks link. Why does not write for wonkette!? I think he'd fit right in.

OT morning Y*utube, listening to an album I bought bc of this track. There's a comment describing it as the soundtrack of the worst scu fi film ever made. Why does that not sound like a bad thing?
