I'm in at least partial agreement. I never liked Assange, but I have a soft spot for Reality winner.

Sorry, no. One look at Julian Assange show where that leads. These "whistleblowers" don't seem to consider the ramifications of their actions on innocent people.

I'm afraid for this family. If their criticisms of Trump's demagoguery become too pointed the Alex Joneses of the world will implicate them in some made-up conspiracy and the QAnon-types will stalk and harass them.

Everyone who disagrees with you is a Nazi, troll and or racist. Got it.

Seems like making it a point to always respond to my posts with the same OMG TROLL is actually OMG TROLL.

I've read that they already are getting hate threats. It's horrible - using a young girl's tragic murder for political gain (Trump has literally used it to defend his stupid wall).

The Tibbetts family is showing a lot of grace. Which makes me that much madder that their tragedy is being exploited.

What I find hard to credit is that the police would have proceeded this far without some kind of independently substantiated connection, even if it's as simple and circumstantial as hitting on her once or twice and being told to get lost. They might still be wrong, but deadly situations have certainly arisen from equally trivial roots.

there is a lot of info that doesn't seem to add up. The Police were sure that she returned home after her run. The probability that a random stranger will murder another random stranger without an underlying cause is minuscule. The dude lived in this overly white area of rural Iowa for at least 4 years without attracting any negative attention.

One more thought, to clarify comments below, I'm sure it's quite possible the current suspect could still be exonerated, even if there's a good deal more dirt on him than has come out so far. It would be all the more amusing (as much as possible under the circumstances) if the cops charged a homegrown boyfriend or stalker.

Now these fuckers will go after Mollie's family because they dared to challenge the Fox News narrative. And no, Iowa GOP, we won't suddenly forget or forgive your busting the state budget, shortchanging Iowa's universities, ending collective bargaining for teachers, your dumbass anti-abortion bills, anti-environmental legislation and measly 1% pay raise for teachers just because a Messican killed a girl. Or maybe I'm wrong--too many of the smart people have left this state so you may just pull it off again.

Yes, because we will naturally forget all the horrible, inhumane and illegal shit the Republicans have done because someone was murdered.
