Tillerson’s aides retorted that he “didn’t like being told what to do,” the former senior State official said, and ordered that the request be refashioned as an “information memo.”Wait, what? That is some arrogance. Tillerson's aides actually told a bunch of career State Department officials that they weren't being obsequious and diplomatic enough and they should please learn how to do that better.
This is a perfect example of why government cannot be run like a business.In a business, the Boss is the be all and end all. In a government, people work together for the advancement of more than just the Boss.
With all the Republican congressmen trying to find billets for their kids and grand kids in the military, so they can have a go at the filthy Islamers, there just isn't time for no fancy "negotiations". Time to get a fightin'.
