What gnomeman said. Read Craig Unger - he can't tell you all about it bc going after that level of information might've gotten him killed, but he does get close.

I didn't know the name of the Russian mob boss who is the boss of bosses (who's even Putin's boss in a roundabout way) till I read that book.

Have to disagree. 100 days is a slap on the wrist. Rikers is a jail (short term), rather than a prison (doing time), but it's still got segregated buildings for older cons. They were never going to put pops in gen pop. He's in no danger & 100 days is barely 4 months. I've known guys who had to take more time off their jobs for heart trouble or cancer treatments than that. No, Bragg is a noob DA who agreed to an unjustifiable sweetheart deal for Weaselberg. If he'd known how to do his job, he would've stuck the fucker in Elmira for 5-10 years & seized his home in a criminal forfeiture action. THAT would've elicited some cooperation against Trump.

Trump is so stupid he thinks he can manufacture a bias recusal from the judge by trash talking/threatening him with terrorism by his goon/mobster adjacent deplorable asshole supporters. Manhattan trial court judges are all-too familiar with that mafia play book shit.

Yes. Exactly. Thing is though, what happens when he’s no longer worth the effort? What if he’s no longer worth more outside of jail than inside? He’s dug in with extremely nasty people. They are unlikely to trust that he will keep his mouth shut. He’s informed on people before, so there’s a good chance he would again if it benefits him.

Is Rikers Island one of those "country club" prisons? It's got such a lovely sounding name! Pools? Tennis courts? Warm beaches? Probably just like his boss's crib.

If that's a serious question, the answer is emphatically "no."
