"the infamous Steele Dossier, that salacious collection of raw intelligence put together by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele that gave us such Trump-era nuggets as “Donald Trump paid Russian hookers for golden showers in a Moscow hotel room once used by Barack Obama.”"

When I first heard the story I was happy to have a laugh at a dude's embarrassing fetish being outed (I have that particular fetish myself, not that you needed to know) but hearing even more of the story just emphasized how PATHETIC the dude is.

"an American president paying hookers to piss on him is a sketch idea"

yes. that is correct. a comedy bit. because the actual claim was that he paid hookers to pee on a bed that Obama once slept in. this was then conflated to "golden showers" by comedy writers. etc. and now it seems to be that everyone believes it was hookers peeing on Trump himself.

conveniently this allows Trump to easily deny that claim. but that wasn't the actual claim to begin with.

Which was a weird thing to do to Hotel bed that had been slept in by many people since.

As far as a racist is concerned, once something or some place has been contaminated, the stain never washes away. My husband lived in Alabama for a couple of years in the early 1960s. He told me that the judge who lived across the street from him had his toilet replaced when he found out his Black maid had used it once. He had other stories along the same line. It's a corollary of the one-drop rule. I recognize that this isn't exactly the same thing, because it's personal animus and, I would bet, getting his jollies from taking this kind of revenge against people who wouldn't even know about it, but it comes from the same place.

NOPE. C'mon, Wonkette!

The report said he paid hookers to PEE ON THE BED once used by Barack Obama AS HE WATCHED - not to pee on him (aka golden shower)

that's why Trump can legit deny that version of the story - because people keep saying the hookers peed on him.

“Trump denied that he had “engage[d] in perverted sexual behavior including the hiring of prostitutes to engage in ‘golden showers’” nor did he participate in “sex parties” in St. Petersburg”

No, those parties were in Rome. Bunga Bunga!

He is always phrasing it narrowly. I am pretty sure he has hooked up with Russian hookers.

I was raised by my parents to be a kind and caring person. I admit I don't always succeed. There is this tiny part of my brain that says it is wrong to be so happy that another human being (I know, human libelz) is unhappy and in distress. And yet I can't help myself. Sorry Mom and Dad.

It sounds like your parents also raised you to use your common sense, so don’t feel bad. You’re fine.

El Tangerine Supremo sure sucks at legaling. In England, Loser pays. He will end up with a judgment against him in the form of an order to pay the legal fees and costs of Orbis. Double wammy.

I just watched the very solemn ceremony of the soldiers killed returning to America. Chris Jansing was crying. I'm crying. Also, I'm reading this article which is damn funny. But re-posting the headline "Have you Peed on this man?" made me break out in laughter. Thank you, Wonkette.

Imagine – PAB would just be a crooked New York businessman with mansions and a private plane and a wife to cheat on with porn stars, and nobody would care. But his ego forced him to become president. Now his entire life is upside down, and his legacy as Worst President in History and traitor to the country is sealed for the ages.

"Trump you goofy moron. You could have lived in the shadows and laundered Russian mob money and fucked porn actresses to your heart's content but you had to be the center of attention and now the whole world knows you are not only a criminal, but a stupid criminal."

"In other words, oh boo-hoo, someone put together a gossipy pile of opposition research that made fun of the world’s most visible political figure and it leaked online like everything else does, why don’t you sit down and stuff a sock into that gaping yap hole in your face."

Meanwhile Trump's supporters wave Hunter Biden's dick pics -- which *were* actually illegally stolen off his personal laptop -- around on the floor of the US Congress. Boo fucking hoo indeed.

OK, IANAL and most definitely not a British one, but I thought the UK libel laws basically made defendants prove their innocence. Why didn't Trump just swear that he never did any of that stuff and they can't prove he did? Why fuck around with allegations about "data protection"?

Harryr's avatar

Possibly because they would then produce all of the evidence that the allegations were true.

Also you have to have a good reputation to defame, and in the UK, Trump really doesn't have one.
