I remember a few years ago Georgia here passed a strict immigration law and then all the immigrants, even many of the documented, said "Fuck y'all" and left.
Then the fruit and vegetable growers lost millions of dollars of crops that literally rotted in the fields.
The state reacted by sending parolees out to do the work. And those folks, who could technically have been sent back to prison for refusing a job, all walked off the job within a matter of hours.
One farmer I talked to said one women, not sure if she was a parolee or not, got there, saw what the work was about, and immediately called someone to come pick her up.
Because "Fuck that shit."
It's goddamn hard work. And it's hours and hours of it, repetitive movements picking stuff by hand.
All those brown people ran down to friendly Florida and got work.
Now, they had to hie back to the Peach People because Ron DiSappointus thought he could ride his swarthy (but white) Italian skin into the White House on nothing but pure bigotry.
