What worries me the most about the upcoming election is the harassment that poll workers are going to experience. In some areas, people who have worked at the polls for decades are dropping out in significant numbers because they don't want to be the next Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman.
I would love to volunteer to be a poll watcher, but my House Arrest rules do not permit me to do that, which I think is an unconstitutional violation of my 1A rights, but the judge disagrees. Hopefully my case will be over before the election and I can do it.
I'm really worried about this too. If all of the good, sane, and civic-minded people refuse to volunteer (understandably) then all that's left are MAGA goons.
