I don't like lazy narratives. And most importantly I don't like lazy journalism.

We need to acknowledge that Black voters had LEGITIMATE reasons not to vote for Hilary Clinton that did not involve the Kremlin or the GOP. Clinton had a shitty record regarding her advocacy for the 1994 Crime Bill that locked up a lot of African Americans. Her "super predators" comment. Her arrogant confidence that she would just get the Black voters like her Husband did without laying out any real substantial policies to address the plight of Black people in that state. Same shit different day. Democrats come to Black people expecting our votes but they don't deliver the goods when they hit office.

Remember Flint's water crisis was the end result of decades of terrible public policy and corrupt politicians who simply didn't give a damn about the Black folk living there, all democrats. This crisis happened on Obama's watch, these folks still don't have clean water.

I definitely do not think Booker's claim was completely false or a lie. I agree that the answers are left unknown as this moment.

But we have to square this in our psyche, Donald Trump is not an oddity and the election was not illegitimate. It was exactly what we can expect from decades of political corruption, a stupid electoral college system, racism, xenophobia, bad policies that favor corporations over workers, a corporate based media environment that thrives on sensationalism, a rigged economy that pits workers against each other while enriching the elites, a dwindling middle class, a growing impoverished class, and politcians from both parties that have not responded strong enough to the problems that real Americans face.

If we don't fix these problems, there will be a million more Donald Trump's.

Looks like Bezos got the message when Cheetolini pulled that squillion-dollar contract for cloud computing. Who needs a belly rub? Who does? Is it Jeffy? Yes it is! It is JEFFY!

Yeah, that's why the electricity thing makes a kind of sense. Side note - with our infrastructure currently neglected, with bridge engineers warning of more collapses (and have those been in hiatus, or is the news just censored for that little item?) we're vulnerable also-too. And open elections is one thing, but letting the Mitches choose the voting machine purveyors is just asking for elections to become closed, er, rigged. More rigged.

Me either.

We live in a state that gave Sergey Kislyak a tour of our election systems facility in April 2016.

Not that I have found. There waa a big kerfuffle during 2016 because the DNC was screwing with Bernie's donations. Dems blamed it on Bernie, but what that's your system. I saw fuckery with my account. Could have reported to the FEC but just decided to not donate after the convention. Do Not Call List and all. You can't block robocalls but you can a human being to Fuck Off.The Redistricting Committee is getting funds because the reports on their website are kick ass and up to date.Have I told you my dream? Stacey Abrams as AG with Holder as her mentor. That's why I think that she is sitting 2020 out.

Didn't know Abrams was a tough AG.We have to win this thing in order to make use of all of our talent.

So is Act Blue trustworthy or not?

Ultimately, this is the thing that makes all the disagreements about candidates null and void.

(Please tell me why this feeling is wrong.)

If you are still working and your job is safe-ish, ride that donkey til it dies. You can make it back. I did in 2001 and 2009. But any retiree or soon to be retiree is a fool to stay on the market.I have my Sprint pension too. The last buyout offer was $20K. I am holding out for more. And with this merger with T-Mobile, I bet that I get it. They will want to eliminate that pension fund so bad.Patience, grasshopper. Take this pebblebfrom my hand.

I remember reading it when I'd go out to visit my in-laws in Orange County and not being all that impressed.

Oh, and Abrams is just tough. She hasn't been our AG, because fraud. She should be our governor but there is inside info I can't /won't share. I did make a sign with a list of 7 ways I know of that he borked the election. ACLU has the actual examples. All These Motherfucking Trumpanzees Are Going Down.

I love the book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. It reminds me a lot of Charleston in the 1970s, there weren't a lot of people here back then, but the ones who were here were weird and interesting.

We even had our own version of The Lady Chablis - Africa Brooks, who sadly, last time I saw her was a crack addict, and passed away at a young age.

My wife and I attended a Hillary rally in downtown Detroit two days before the election. Waited a couple of hours to get in. Good rally. Everybody fired up. My wife says she's worried. I ask her why. She says, "There are no black people here, or not very many, at least." As I thought about it, I looked around the venue. I realized she was right. It was the first foreboding.

Really? Don't see a lot of people here keen to fight. I see a lot of people here who won't bother because the "fix is already in" so they'll stay home and drink.

We've psyched ourselves out.
