I hope the recent show of spine by the Dems (SOTU; Hur hearing) is a trend and not an anomaly.

Speaking of which, has anyone seen Merrick Garland anywhere? (Anywhere near the "GTFO and drop your law license at the door as it hits you in the ass Barrister Hur?)

Sociopathic oddballs need political affiliations too. The GOP is the only party that will have them. Maybe he’s counting on a Trump victory and pardon. That’s a very bad bet.

Republican logrolling. It's akin to passing your junior-high school yearbook around amongst only those fellow classmates who will write something glowing about you with the expectation that you'll do the same for them.

I am sure when Lewter is convicted and the judge has the sentencing hearing all those good Republicans will be lined up to testify to his good character.

I'm going to guess there was a squeezing or kicking of the groin during a fight that someone thought would make a nice additional charge. Anyone who's been kicked in the groin knows how that is indeed torture.

I've been floating an idea on the Wonkette for YEARS about the prevalence of closeted gay men in the Republican Party. I felt so vindicated after reading Stuart Stevens "It Was All a Lie." He describes the plethora of gay men in the GQP, and the more conservative the candidate, the more closeted gay men were on his staff. I think hiding who you are leads these morons into insanity, and perversity, and eventually MUUUUURDEEEEER!!!!!

Just to remind folks, Alabama does produce a few good people. Some of my favorites:

Doug Jones, whose campaign I supported to replace Jeff Sessions.

E. O. Wilson, great entomologist.

Frank Johnson, federal judge who enforced any civil rights law he could in the 1950s.

Tallulah Bankhead, whose father warned her about men and booze, but not about women and cocaine.
