Hi Movie night fans!
Tonight we are watching Miyazki's Spirited Away (2001), English dub version. With characters voiced by Daveigh Chase, Suzanne Pleshette, Jason Marsden and Susan Egan. Written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and animated by Studio Ghibli.
It tells the story of a ten-year-old girl who moves to a new neighborhood and enters the world of kami (spirits of Japanese folklore.)
I have handed over the trivia questions to tonight's guest Trivia Master, Crip Dyke.
Available for free on the Internet Archive. On Max and for $3.99 in most of the usual places.
Got your popcorn? Enjoy!

For those who have been enquiring...
Today is Baking Post Day.
Hold your horses, it'll be posted later.
BONUS:
There are several instances in the English-dubbed version where dialogue was added that was not present in the original Japanese release. In an interview with John Lasseter, he explained that it was a necessary addition to help clarify certain elements for American audiences. For example, what is clearly a bathhouse to a Japanese viewer might not be apparent to an American viewer, so this translation issue was fixed by having the character explain, "Oh, it's a bathhouse."
