ROFL, I love that this article attracted a Loribot. The need to slay them is far less frequent these days, but I see not entirely eliminated.

Hi, I work for a mortgage lender.

The more I work at my current job, the more I'm convinced that credit reports are just an elaborate way of determining someone's race without doing stuff like asking "Are you Black?" or what zip code you live in (which is what redlining is)

Because credit reports are uncannily good at determining whether you can be trusted with the bank's money if you are white. If you aren't white then they pretty much always say "This person can't be trusted with $5"
